Cresting the Summit!

No I did not clime a big mountain with my bike. If that was the case the title would have been walking my bike up that big friggin hill.
Saturday fellow FAB'ers hopped into Jodi's van at 7:30 am and we were off the 1st ever South Dakota Bike Summit. I think the mini-van could have gotten a lot better gas mileage if all 4 of us dudes were not of the, large and in charge body types. Jodi sat in the back and caught up on paper work so I was the designated driver. On to Chamberlain.
The Summit was a complete and utter SUCCESS. One way to gauge on how an all day of meetings go is how fast the time flies by. The day flew by and it was interesting for me the whole day. Kudos to all who organized the day because it was superbly organized and the transitions between speakers and subjects was seemless.
We all voted to enact an organization called the South Dakota Bicycle Coalition and volunteers were sought to work on certain subjects. I am going to be on a safety committee with the Hootverville Mayor and Sam Trebilcock.
Indeed, I do feel good about what took place at the Summit and I am looking forward to the future of cycling in South Dakota.
