Anyone want to ride to Green Bay in 2009?

My brother emailed me today asking when I was going to ride my bike out to Green Bay, WI. He said there is room for other cyclists to stay if I decide to ride with a group. Anyone interested in a 2 week tour in 2009 to Green Bay, WI? We would stay at some Warm Showers sites, some camping and some hotel stays. Let me know if you are interested.

I am interested in biking to Green Bay in 2009. Tell me more. I am an old guy who does about 12-15 mph, but I don't need to ride with a group. I can meet up at days end, but it is a distance I like. maybe 60-70 miles per day. But, would I need to carry all my stuff or would there be a van for tents and the like.

Please advise, and if in 2009, would it be late enough in the summer to see a Packers preseason game at Lambaugh???

Sound like a great ride. I would love too; bikes, Packers, add in some beer and I've gone to heaven. Small problems: work, wife, kids, guess I'm out for this one.

I might be interested in biking FROM Green Bay. Perhaps hop an Amtrak out and bike back.

Jack,

I was thinking about us traveling with our own gear but I might be able to find someone for support. If you want to send me an email to cyclesd@gmail.com so I can get your email I can keep you up to date on further details.

Snakebite - great idea about one-way. I was worried about two weeks off from work at one time. I checked into buses a while back but there was a 1.5 day delay in Milwaukee that was bummer. I will see what I can find out about Amtrak routes.

I'm open to any suggestions and the more the merrier for a group ride.

Wow, you want to check out yer new bob trailer in a BIG way!
I would love to journey along, but,
I have so little vacation days I would have to forego the TDK.
Hell DeeDubya, you never know.
I might win the lottery.
If'n I do, I will spring for the return/up trip on Amtrack and we will have us a road trip! Ah, it is nice to dream.....
