Yet another reason to ride your bike in winter!

On the weekends it is usually easier for me to be car free. I run my errands via bicycle as I can set my own time frames.

This morning I received a 6:00 am phone call from work and I had to get there in a hurry to fix some files. What you are looking at is my readout of my average mpg. Yes, that is 13.2 mpg. I find the cages gas mileage goes way down in winter. Of course, I not telling you anything that you do not already know.

My work van gets pretty close to the same mileage, only I drive alot more miles than you. I regret that I can't bike to work, until days like today. Too cold for me!

Don't feel too bad, it was not that many years ago I still lived in Parkston on my Dad's farm and worked in Sioux Falls. That is about 88 miles one way.
